VeloCT Gateway Version 2.6.1 Released on October 8, 2004
Since the 2.6 upgrade in April of this year many additional changes have been implemented as further value-added features in the VeloCT Gateway. The following is a quick summary of these upgrade items:
Batch processing tool enhancements: The batch upload tool can now be used for ACH as well as Credit Card transactions. For batch files containing both Credit Card and ACH records, the "PAY_TYPE" column must contain either "C" (Credit Card) or "K" (ACH) for each record. The ACH account number must be in "<routing>:<account>" format, where <routing> is the 9 digit ABA routing number, followed by a colon and the bank account number. The new "ACCOUNT_NUMBER" or old "CARD_NUMBER" column heading can be used interchangeably for specifying both Credit Card and ACH account numbers in mixed files.
Direct Mode enhancements for clients with Dynamic IP: Direct Mode clients are normally authenticated based on a list of approved IP addresses configured on the Access Security screen. Starting with this upgrade, Direct Mode connections from clients with dynamic IP are allowed provided the new "dynip_sec_code" field is transmitted as part of the request, and matches the Dynamic IP Security Code configured on the Access Security screen.
Simplified Recurring Billing setup for merchants: A new streamlined tool has been added to setup Recurring Billing subscribers. This tool is modeled after the Virtual Terminal, and allows for Recurring Billing to be automatically established at the same time the initial transaction is entered.
Zero amount ACH transaction records now accepted: ACH transactions with an amount of 0.00 are now accepted by the system, and will be displayed as transaction records with an UNVERIFIED approval message. This is useful to establish Recurring ACH Billing without an initial payment.
Early warning for subscribers with expiring credit cards: A new search option has been added to find Recurring Billing Subscribers whose credit cards will be expiring within the next 60 days. To use this feature, go to Find Members in the Subscription section of the menu and select MEMBER: CREDIT CARD: Expiring from the Special Condition drop box.
Same-day every month Recurring Billing schedule added: A new option has been added to the Button Editor to allow merchants to consistently bill on the same date every month. For example, instead of billing every 30 days or the 1st of every month, merchants now have the ability to automatically bill a customer on the same day of each month based on the date of the initial billing. Miscellaneous Enhancements: Date input fields now accept both US and International date formats (MM/DD/YYYY and YYYY-MM-DD). Split-Authorization (processing different card types through difference merchant accounts) can now be enabled on the merchant card processing setup page.
